I Got My Honduran Birthday Celebration!

Hola familia,

Well here we are another week gone, can you believe next week (actually it will be one more week) I will making my last phone call home... crazy! Also ya that is really crazy that we have the plans and all that to go home makes it so much realer (is that a word?). Weird. They actually sent me a copy of the plans (just the flight home). That’s unfortunate that it’s so late (10:45pm, on Tuesday, July 27th), but what can we do. Um about the time you get here... that will be interesting because all church’s here go until 12:00 so maybe you’ll just have to wait in the airport for a while or maybe you’ll get delayed, cause I wouldn’t want to miss my last Sunday. But that sounds good I guess, so well have one more day. I’ll have to check with Denise about the house and see how much room it has. I actually had a member in Palmira offer their house too. But I’m more comfortable with Denise’s family although the other one lives in a beautiful area. Anyway I guess I’ll start planning exactly what to do and where to go. That’s nice that that family emailed you (A family that has traveled down there too). It’s funny cause I have no idea what the Barrio Los Angeles is (they shopped at this place and said it was huge). Haha. But ya a car like that would be good. And I don’t think it’s too dangerous. (For example a Toyota Prado and Hilux are the most stolen cars here and so I would recommend not renting one) but whatever car would be fine I wouldn’t worry to much.

But ya this week was good. We had three investigators at church and we think we will be able to baptize them and maybe 2 more. So hopefully everything there works out good. Everything else is good here. Changes are next week and we are hoping to stay together because that would be fun. I really enjoy this ward. We’ve had some good experiences with our investigators saying they believe the church is true so hopefully its enough to make they want to do what they need to do. But ya that’s basically all.

Tonight we have an FHE and we are making ice cream in a bag. Oh ya on Tuesday, I got a late Honduran birthday celebration. I got an egg cracked on me, then frosting smeared all over my face then I got thrown in the pila, (a big water basin where they wash clothes) and then flour thrown on me. So that was exciting haha. Oh ya I’ve been practicing making flour tortillas so that when I get home I can make them. I made some last night and they were actually pretty good. I would send pictures, but I can’t figure out how to on this computer. I don’t think I can. But ya I think that’s pretty much it. Remind me not to say that knowing-believing thing in my homecoming talk since you used it haha, (We spoke Sunday and I used something he wrote last week in my talk), but I’m glad you are all good.

I love you all. Take care. The church is true.
Love Elder Brinton
